Each user must be 16 or older to register and use the BF2CC.com Forums.

Users that are NOT 16 at the date of registration on these forums, need to fill out the COPPA form and have this signed by one of their parents or legal guardians. This form needs to be e-mailed together with a copy of the parent or legal guardian's Legal Identification (Passport or ID card) to the Administrators of the BF2CC.com Forums, before the account will be activated.

You need to enter all the required data on the registration form, including your Birth Date.
The Board Staff can ask proof of this, when this can not be provided the account may be suspended or even deleted.

Failing to enter all the required data in a serious manner, will result in your registration being denied.

By accepting our terms at the registration of your account, you are automatically bound by the rules and regulations of the BF2CC.com Forums and Website.
These rules are subject to change by the BF2CC.com Staff, without prior notice. As a courtesy the Staff may decide to post an announcement of such a change, but this is not a requirement.

Our Terms can not be changed without a 14 days prior notice.
The Staff will debate any proposed change in our Terms and conditions, after which an announcement will be made in the Announcements Forum.
This announcement will be posted no less then 14 days before the proposed change is going into effect.
Users can protest during these 14 days and if so, the Staff will investigate if this is a relevant protest.
If a user cannot accept the proposed change to our terms, they can request to deactivate their account.

When posting and using the facilities on the BF2CC.com Forums and Website, we expect nothing more but also nothing less then respect for other users and members.

Treat people with the respect you expect to receive from others, when you have an issue or feel that someone is truly going out of bounce, contact a Moderator.
Please do NOT act as a moderator yourself. Any user who is acting as, but not being an official moderator will receive a warning.
The Moderator will look into the issue and report back to you with a conclusion and what, if any, measures have been taken.

Do not doubt: If a Staff member finds any form of abusive or disrespectfull attitude against ANY other user on these forums, he will take appropriate action.
This can vary from an official warning (2 strikes = out!) to an immediate ban for a certain period.

BF2CC.com Staff members have the ability to officially warn and/or ban users if so needed, on these forums.
After receiving 2 official warnings, the board automatically will ban the user for a period of 90 days.

Each warning will always be investigated by a Global Moderator and/or Administrator, but if you feel a warning has been issued for the wrong reason, you can always contact the Staff member who issued the warning.

Banning can only be done by Administrators or by the board after having been issued 2 warnings.

We prefer to warn people, but if they keep ignoring our warnings, then we may resort to bans. Ban Lengths are determined by severity and warn/ban history so if somebody posted porn for example, and has a history of breaking rules, they will be banned longer than somebody who did it as a first time offense.

Calling people names, swearing at people, following people around on various threads to purposefully bother or harass them, sending them Private Messages when they tell you not to, threatening people or just directly provoking or baiting people just for the purpose of getting a negative reaction is not allowed on our forums.
Any word used in a derogatory fashion against somebody constitutes a personal attack and will be treated that way. This applies to all posters and all areas of our forums.

We expect posters here to respect each other, even if they disagree and dislike each other, so please keep personal disputes off our forums.

Profanity, racism and sexual commentary is not allowed on the BF2CC Forums so please keep words like the F word, S word, Fag, Cunt, Cock and Homo, etc off the site.
This also applies to all images, media or logs that may be posted, so please censor your posts accordingly. Linking to sites with some profanity is ok, however if we feel the site "crosses the line", the link will be removed. Obviously, using profanity or masked profanity in a personal attack is against the rules as well.
If you are unsure about whether a word or phrase is appropriate, please ask a moderator prior to posting.

Special Note on Masked Profanity:
Masked Profanity such as F[]CK, Sh!t is not allowed.
Words such as F****, S***, F**K, WTF, STFU, Freaking, Effin, BS are considered acceptable unless used against another person. We reserve the right to edit these at any time regardless.
This can be a bit confusing, but look at it from an "image" point of view, if alternate characters are being used to make the masked profanity look the same as the regular word, then its bad.

Posters who we feel are here to heckle the fans of the BF2CC software or BF2 game, make it their duty to "warn off others" from trying them, or simply making negative comments on them and its fans at any given opportunity, will not be tolerated. Posters are free to discuss the BF2 game, but if we feel somebody is taking their comments "over the edge", we hold the right to remove their posts and possibly ban them from this forum.

The BF2CC.com Forums is not a fan board, but a board for players and Server admins who use the BF2CC software. Still we do not tolerate the mentioned above. Fans of the BF2-game whether they have negative or positive opinions are welcome, but are asked to post on BF2 related forums. Non-fans/former fans that hate/despise and think the game is a "POS" or any variation there of, are welcome to move along and find somewhere else to be, as we feel you are contributing nothing to the community and are disrupting it. If you feel strongly about something, then modify your style so we are not dealing with flame wars all the time.

Posters are free and encouraged to use "constructive criticism". What do we define as constructive criticism?
Basically, it's when a user defines a problem, posts why they think it's a problem, then offers a solution to fix that problem, then people can debate it on its merits.

Real Life information such as names, addresses and phone numbers can not be posted on our forums, without permission.
In some cases, this may be permissible if we deem something to be in the public domain (such as a game companies address or the name of a popular and well known Developer), however even permissible cases are still open to Moderation if somebody is trying to abuse/harass them in some way.

Posts or links with Pornography and explicit pictures or videos like dead bodies, people blowing up, feces, cartoon sex acts or genitalia, etc. are not allowed.

Babe Threads are NOT allowed. If we can see nipples, pubic hair or "private parts" the image will be nuked.

If you want to Spam or Star Farm, find a Post Farming Thread and spam/farm that. IF we catch you macroing, you will have your post count reduced to zero so don't macro.

Spam is when a poster is posting useless or contentless threads or replies to existing threads. The intent may not be to increase post count.
Star Farming is when a poster is purposefully out there with an intent to increase their post count.
Why is spam and star farming bad?
Spam hinders legitimate discussion on existing threads, forces legitimate topics down in the "indexes" and hampers the overall usefulness of our forum. This is why we do not want it.

If you are going to post something, please make it worth while. We will not tolerate threads that we feel are totally nonsense/useless threads or posts. Therefore, be aware that if you are posting senseless, vacuous, or empty messages on a forum, or in an existing thread, and we feel it is ruining an existing thread, hampering legitimate users, being done in an effort to gain more stars or simply "cause a stir" your posts may be deleted.
-Going around and purposefully bumping a bunch of old threads in a way we may find abusive, is not allowed.

Spam Examples:
Repeated posting of IBTL (In before the lock), Pharm, +1, etc.
10 posts on the main page that all say "good morning" (example) would be considered spam.
No Text Threads are usually "spam".
Totally off topic nonsense posts in existing threads (ie- people are talking about a new game, and you go post "I like chocolate")

All of this is considered spam, and we reserve the right to delete it and anything we feel is blatantly abusing our forums and send out appropriate warnings or bans.

Bumping old posts in an effort to cause problems or in a way that we find somehow abusive, is against the rules.

You may not impersonate another board member or create an account specifically for the purpose of provoking other users.
Accessing or using someone else's account or attempting to access another poster's account is strictly prohibited.
Using an account for the purpose of trying to boost your topics or somehow perpetuate "fraud" is also not allowed.

We do realize the importance of the dozens of other BF2/2142 fan sites, clans, utilities, resources and other information available in the greater MMORPG Community, and in general, as long as we feel that people are not trying to use our forums to make money, drive traffic away from our site or just blatantly use our forum as an advertising base, then we do not mind the reasonable linkage/promotion of other sites. However, if we feel somebody is trying to abuse our Forums, then we will delete their posts. Feel free to contact Moderators/Admins to find out what is acceptable.

Some examples:

• Links to articles/permissible utilities of related information on the General Forums is generally ok, but posting these across a broad range of forums would not be allowed.
• People asking for some specific information, then somebody responding with a link would be ok.
• If somebody was to ask "where can I buy game ABC", you could drop a link to a game store that sells it.
• Links to Clan and/or BF2CC Partner sites can be posted in our Links section
• Putting a link up to a Site or Forum that we feel is obviously an anti-BF2CC/2142CC/BF2/BF2142 or any partner website would not be allowed.

Under no circumstances is Solicitation of funds allowed (this includes donations, aid organizations, etc).

The BF2CC.com staff or representitives reserve the right to make Official BF2CC Threads on our forums. These threads are directly related to the BF2CC.com Sites or Forums and may be cross posted on various forums by our officials. Posters hi-jacking these threads with flames or trying to drive them off topic could see their posts deleted or even their account banned. If you find the BF2CC Staff posts annoying, please just ignore them.

Discussing, promoting, advocating or giving instructions on activities that are illegal (ie- how to kill people, steal cars, break into somebody's house, grow drug plants, hack into somebody's computer, etc) is not allowed. Using our forums to somehow conduct criminal behavior or beak laws (such as fraud) is obviously against the rules.

BF2CC.com honor all non-disclosure agreements for any MMORPG and/or 3rd party software that may be in effect. Breaking an NDA by posting information here will result in the post being deleted at the poster being warned/banned.

BF2CC.com uses a donation system to fund a small part the costs we make. This includes the domain registration, hardware etc. The website and server space are graciously sponsored by Art Of War Central.

The funds donated are placed on a special seperate paypal account, which is owned by BF2CC.com. Anyone can, in a reasonable matter, request insight in that account and what the funds are used for.
The donated funds are only used for development of the BF2CC software and websites.

Besides the official BF2CC.com donation system, no other form of donations-requests are allowed on the BF2CC.com websites and/or forums without EXPLICIT written permission from the BF2CC.com Site Administrators.

Short and simple: Spamming = BAN!
Bumping your own topic = Warning!

Cross Forum Posting is NOT allowed. Though if on a single occassion you are posting something important or interesting such as a News Item to 2 boards, we probably do not care.
However, if you are posting spam or content-less garbage everywhere, or simply overdo it by posting the same thread on multiple forums , your posts will be deleted and you will receive a warning.

This rule is mostly one of abuse and as long as it is not abused, you will probably have no trouble with it. Cross Forum Trade Posting is still not allowed, please use dedicated Trade Forums for trades that involve multiple boards

Off topic posts are only allowed in the Forums that are designated with that name.
The top of a forum may also have a Sticky Post with more in-depth information on what is allowed inside each forum.

Excessive "bandwagon" posts (takeoffs on existing posts) may be deleted and some or all OT may be removed in the event that it becomes a large part of the board content. Follow up posts like "Why was my headache after last night post deleted" will most likely be deleted as well (see the Moderation Rule below). Managing Off Topic posts is a difficult job at best, however we do not want our On Topic forums over run with Off Topic posts, so just be reasonable with it and the Moderators, and you probably wont have any problems. If your post is locked or deleted, it is not the end of the world.

We need to keep in mind that the BF2CC Forums is a Software and Administration Discussion Forum first and foremost, and that On Topic threads take priority. For this reason, we have set up several Community/Off Topic Forums as well, so feel free to use them.

You may not re-edit a post that has already been edited by a Moderator.

• You may not bait, insult, flame, harass or otherwise abuse Moderators.
• Discussing Bans or any Moderator actions publicly on the forum is not permitted! Please ask questions via the Private Message system to individual Moderators or Admins. (Remember, these Private Messages/Correspondence is private and can not be redistributed.)
• If you have a problem with a Mod action or a Moderator, discuss it with the Moderator directly. If you can not resolve your dispute, then please contact an Administrator.

To report a bug and receive help, aswell as for Help requests regarding the BF2CC software, users are required to use the provided POSTING-MODELS.
Each registered user can select a prepared posting from a dropdown list, inside several forums.
Select the appropriate one and then click the "insert" button. Then you can add your details as required and hit the "preview" button FIRST! (please add your text outside the color codes!)

When you are sure everything is okay, you can submit your post.

Any bug report or help request not posted as described above, will be deleted.

The Links section is created to provide the BF2CC.com partners and users a platform for showing their links.
You must be registered on the board to be able to provide your link.
The section is divided into categories and each user on the board can provide a link to be placed there.

At this time we will ONLY accept TEXT-Links. The link must be relevant to/for BF2CC, 2142CC, BF2, BF2142 and/or gaming commmunities related to BF2CC, 2142CC, BF2 or BF2142.

Links can only be added by BF2CC.com Staff.

Links can only be added to the page by Staff members.
Send a pm to a Staff member or to the Admin Group and use the posting model for that, which you can select.

Any request made not by pm or without the posting model, will not be processed.

The BF2CC.com Forums are a free service provided by BF2CC.com and Art Of War Central to complement the BF2CC.com Website and provide a place for Server Administrators, Server Companies aswell as players of the BF2/BF2142 gamesto be able to converge and talk about the BF2CC software and BF2 games they enjoy in a fun, friendly and intelligent atmosphere.
However, due to the sheer size of the BF2CC Boards, we have some basic rules and guidelines for the people posting here.
These rules and guidelines are intended to keep these forums focused on their original purpose: provide a fun, friendly and intelligent atmosphere; create a respectable Community for the people who come here; and prevent abuse of these forums and the people who post here.

We realize that sometimes there may be reasons to make exceptions to some of the rules above and the BF2CC Management reserves the right to be able to make exceptions to rules if we think it is for the betterment of a particular Community. As well, abusive or unique situations will always come up, and we hold the right to deal with these situations, as we see fit, regardless of whether we have a rule for it or not.

Please do not think that because something is not stated in the rules, that this gives you a ticket to think up or create new ways to abuse our forums or its posters. Such behavior wont be tolerated.
